The client wished to create an oasis for the residents of the complex in the central podium with multiple facilities for recreation. Keeping this in focus, we planned the landscape with the end user in mind. The clubhouse, comprising of state-of-the-art facilities, is surrounded by hardscape and softscape elements that merge seamlessly to build the character of the space. A reflection pool with tree pits surrounds the clubhouse from three sides with a bridge leading to the entrance. The area leading to the swimming pool has wooden deck flooring. The pool is separated from other areas with vertical gardens lending it a sense of privacy. A multipurpose court and practice cricket pitch with adequate lighting is placed in the centre. A large party lawn with a stage for social gatherings follows the centre. A cycling path surrounds the boundary of the podium. Separate kids play area with soft flooring and sand pits are provided to distinguish the toddler play area from the sports zone. Seating plaza and pergolas are strategically placed across the area. Every building is connected to the common podium area through the main podium lobby. Trees are placed strategically over the stilt column to bear the point load of the trees. This enabled us to work the landscape out without hampering the load-bearing capacity of the structure. The overall design focuses on maximizing the utility value as well as providing a social space for recreation.
